Two friends, one kitchen

On Saturday, September 19, 2026, Savoya Restaurant will offer a six-course tasting menu for true gourmets . And why will this evening be special?

Two chefs from successful restaurants will meet in one kitchen – Michal Húsek from Savoya and Soyka and Vladimír "Vany" Vaníček from Prague's Mlýnec na Novotného lávke .

The joint menu will connect their unique culinary styles, experiences and, above all, the story of their long-standing friendship.

Their professional paths first crossed almost twenty years ago at the Prague hotel Le Palais, which was then run by Jiří Gajdošík . And this is where the story symbolically ends – Jiří Gajdošík is now behind the Asten Hotels hotel group, which also includes the Špindlerův Mlýn hotels Savoy and Soyka . The relationship between the experienced mentor and the aspiring chef gradually developed into a friendship that has lasted to this day.

Vany currently runs the Prague restaurant Mlýnec , awarded the Michelin Guide Selected and 15 Gault & Millau points. Michal Húsek heads the gastronomy of the Savoy and Soyka hotels, whose restaurants are also included in both prestigious guides.
