Mountain hike | Špindlerova bouda - Pramen Elbe - Špindlerův Mlýn

Explore the beauty of the Krkonoše National Park on a unique ridge hike that takes you from Špindlerův Mlýn to Pramen Labe (Spring of Elbe). This demanding route measures up to 19 kilometers and will take you around 6 hours. Enjoy the beautiful views and get to know the places that make this area so unique.
Start by bus
The journey starts in Špindlerův Mlýn, from where you will take a bus to Špindlerova bouda (mountain chalet). This is where your walking adventure on the path of Czech-Polish friendship begins.
Around Petrova bouda on ridges
Walk past Petrova bouda (Peter's shed), through Dívčí kameny (natural phenomenon) and Mužské kameny (natural phenomenon), and continue to the crossroads above Martinova bouda (Martin's shed).

Vysoké kolo
Reach the highest point of the route, Vysoké kolo with a height of 1,509 meters above sea level, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.

Natural monuments
Before you reach the Source of the Labe River, you will continue along the Czech-Polish Friendship Trail (red) through natural phenomena: Sněžné jámy, Violík and Česká budka.
You can recognize the Sněžné jámy (natural phenomen) from afar thanks to the "Wavel" transmitter, which served as a tourist hut in the past. Nowadays, in case of bad weather, a mountain hiking shelter will provide you with accommodation in the section Martinova bouda - Sněžné jámy.
Return to Špindlerův Mlýn:
The route continues to the Labská bouda and then to the Labský watterfall and Pančava waterfall, the highest in the Czech Republic, through Zlaté návrší and Vrbatova bouda to Horní Míseček and back to the center of Špindlerův Mlýn.
For the return trip from Zlaté núvrší, you can use the summer tourist bus, which will bring you closer to Horní Mísečky and from Medvědín, return to the center of Špindlerův Mlýn by cable car.
