Cable cars in summer

The six-seater cable car in Svatý Petr will take you to the peak called Pláň | 1,185 m above sea level. This peak is a major tourist hub and starting point for many hiking and cycling trips. From here you can head towards the cottage Na Rozcestí, Luční bouda or up to the highest mountain in the Krkonoše Mountains, Sněžka. The opposite direction will take you to the picturesque village of Strážné.

You can go on shorter nature trails with your children, such as the Moss Path or the Animal Ride. If you just want to relax, enjoy beautiful trips and entertain the children, visit the panoramic restaurant "Na Pláni" with a terrace and a nearby playground.

The four-seater cable car to Medvědín will take you from Špindlerův Mlýn almost to the top of the mountain of the same name at an altitude of approximately 1235 m above sea level. The lower station is located at an altitude of around 743 m above sea level, so you will overcome an elevation of almost 500 meters during the ride.

The peak of Medvědín is one of the popular starting points for hiking and cycling trips in the Krkonoše Mountains. From here you can continue, for example, to the source of the Elbe River, to Vrbatova bouda, or take the ridge paths towards Horní Mísečky or further to the western part of the Krkonoše Mountains.

The surroundings also offer beautiful panoramic views of the Krkonoše ridges and, with good visibility, the wider area. In the summer season, the cable car also transports bicycles, making it a suitable starting point for cycling routes in this part of the mountains.
