Start - Špindlerův Mlýn
Your adventure begins in the center of Špindlerův Mlýn, from where you follow the red tourist sign towards Biskupská vyhlídka with a panoramic view of the surrounding ridges.
Through St. Peter to Dlouhé dol
The route leads through the valley of St. Peter, passes the Esprit Hotel and continues through Dlouhý dol, where the Červink mound awaits you as a reminder of the tragic event in the mountains.
The Výrovka Hut and the Memorial to the Victims of the Mountains
After a challenging ascent, you reach the Výrovka hut (1,357 m above sea level), from where you continue to the "chapel" - the Memorial to the Victims of the Mountains (1,509 m above sea level), a place of peace and reflection.
In the past, "financiers" often stayed here, who lay in wait for smugglers and had an excellent view of the surrounding trails. At that time the place was called "Geiergucke" - Vulture Lookout.
Luční bouda (1,410 m above sea level) and Úpská peat bog
Follow the blue tourist sign to Luční bouda, from which the terrain rises slightly towards the Úpské šareliniště, one of the most ecologically valuable areas of the Giant Mountains.
Ascent to Sněžka (1,603 m above sea level)
The last stage takes you to the top of Sněžka, the highest mountain in the Czech Republic, from where you can enjoy an unforgettable view of the Czech and Polish sides of the Giant Mountains. You can return by one of the offered routes in the opposite direction.
