Sledging track

If you fancy a sledge ride for almost 3 kilometres without having to take a single step, try the Sledging Track in Špindlerův Mlýn. You can buy a ticket on the square by the Sledging Track bus stop (next to the Post Office). Buses leave for the starting point on the hour (or every half hour if there is sufficient demand) between 10:00 and 16:00, or. 18:00 and 20:00, see the bus timetables below. At the starting point you will be loaned a sledge, which will take you down a track almost 3 kilometres long and spanning an elevation of approximately 350 m. Hand your sledge in by the pleasant refreshments stands and then it’s up to you whether you want to return to the square by bus or round off your ride with a short stroll along the river Elbe back to the centre. If you want to go down again, you have to wait a while for the next bus up to the starting point.
You can try a floodlit evening ride from Tuesday to Saturday. Between 16:30 and 18:00 the track is closed to the public while the track is treated with a snow machine.
